2018年3月に卒業式イベントが開催されました。
吉野吉平さんがカンボジアの子どもたちに日本のスポーツを伝えるボランティアをした経験についてスピーチしてくれました。
「ディズニーの英語システム」（DWE）のおかげで英語でのコミュニケーションに必要な自信がついたそうです。

＜スピーチ内容＞

みなさん、こんにちは。僕は吉野吉平といいます。18歳です。今日、皆さんとご一緒できることを誇りに思います。

僕の人生で経験したことを共有したいと思います。

昨年、僕はカンボジアの子どもたちに日本のスポーツを伝えるボランティアとして、カンボジアへ行きました。到着してすぐ、彼らの勉強する科目が、読書、筆記、数学だけということに驚きました。美術、音楽、体育はなかったのです。そこで、僕たちは日本のスポーツの日として「運動会」というアイデアを紹介しました。

運動会の日、僕たちは小学校へ行き、子どもたちから歓迎を受けました。子どもたちは素足で体のサイズに合っていない大きな服を着ていましたが、とても楽しそうで、この運動会という機会を経験する意欲に満ちあふれていました。徒競争で始まり、玉入れや応援合戦と続き、綱引きでその日を終えました。最後に手作りのトロフィーとメダルでお祝いしました。このような状況で生活しているにもかかわらず、子どもたちはスポーツがとても上手で驚きました。

この旅を通して、日本では当たり前の教育を受けていない子どもたちが多くいることを知りました。

DWEのおかげで、僕には日本にいながら英語を話す環境があります。英語を話す人たちとのコミュニケーションをとるのに必要な自信がつきました。これからもカンボジアのような国々を支援したいと思います。この活動に必要な手段を得られたのも、DWEのおかげです。

DWEは、3歳のときから僕の生活の大切な一部となっています。そして、みなさんに出会えたことをとても幸運に思います。最後に、家族、先生方、そしてDWEのすべての方々に感謝いたします。本当にありがとうございました。

Hello, everybody. My name is Kippei Yoshino and I'm 18 years old. I'm proud to be here with all of you today.
I would like to share a personal experience of my life.
Last year I went to Cambodia as a volunteer with a mission of bringing Japanese sports to the children of Cambodia. Upon arrival, I was surprised that the only subjects they studied were reading, writing and math. There was no art, music, or PE. So we introduced the idea of "undo-kai"; Japanese sports day.
The next day in preparation for the games, we went to the elementary school to be welcomed by the kids. Although the children were barefoot and wearing oversized clothing, they were full of happiness and eager to experience this opportunity. We started the day off with tokyoso, tama-ire, o-engassen and finished with tsunahiki. In the end we celebrated with handcrafted trophies and medals. I was surprised that despite living in such conditions, they were excellent at playing sports.
Through this journey, I learned that many children do not have the education that we take for granted here in Japan.
Thanks to DWE, I have an English speaking environment although I live in Japan. DWE has given me the confidence I need to communicate with English speakers. I will continue to support countries such as Cambodia and DWE has given me the tools I need to do so.
DWE has been an important part of my life since I was 3 years old and I feel very lucky to have met you. Finally I'd like to thank my family, the teachers, and all of DWE. Thank you very much.
